Allison Sorkin is a recent graduate of the Design and Production program at University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She studied Stage Properties with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. As Props Director on Coriolanus this spring, Allison led a team of artisans to construct a variety of props in addition to organizing the time estimations and budget. This past fall, as the Shop Purchaser for the Stage Properties Department at UNCSA she implemented a new purchasing framework and made around 100 purchases. She is passionate about props, arts management, and disability advocacy. Allison is an active community member advocating for accessibility on school campuses and in the arts industry. She spends her free time volunteering at a local animal shelter socializing feral cats, and enjoys cooking and exploring antique stores.
